Went well.
Deception is a 100% rider designed and built trail. The trail is in the process of becoming an official trail of the Williamson County Parks and Rec and is an Austin Ridge Rider supported trail. The designers and builders will continue to be the primary trail stewards and are official volunteers for Wilco and Trail Stewards for ARR. Deception is NOT Walnut Creek and it's not meant to be EASY - do not modify the trail, elevate YOUR skills.
Nice. Speedy recovery. Hey I have been speaking with a famous local artist and they agreed to do your statue. I went with exotic granite.
ReplyDeleteNice. I watched about 2 min of my knee surgery vid and that was enough.
ReplyDeleteHoping to night ride tonight, and Josh, it'll kind of be a creeper pace ride just because I've ridden to the point of almost cramping the past two nights.
I got bucked out of the pedals last night a couple of times and also flew off line another carrying too much speed and not enough focus. Whole different animal riding it at night.
I'll hit you up later today. Make sure the lights are charged...nothing's worse than wanting to night ride and realizing you haven't charged your lights but for the 30 min before you suit up to go. Anyways, I'll most likely be out there Monday (tomorrow) doing some work for 2-3 hours.
Ok. I plan on finishing pre plunge tomorrow. Creeper pace is ok. Im kinda recovering from little too much drinking, gotta sweat that shit out. So just let me know if you gonna want to go and time you thinking. I haven't seen the wife yet this weekend so I'm hoping she will be cool with it .
ReplyDeleteI got inlaws in town and it will depend on if I get my school crap done (about to meet with group now). It's looking like I'll have a decent chance to get out there. Bullshitted my way through my paper so that's done.
DeleteNext section of cutting at the new part will be fast. There is already a survey line there. Some guy was spying on me the other day from the hike-n-bike. We kind of observed each other in silence through the trees for a while, then I said hello to him and he kept walking. Then I retreated into the woods to see if he was going to come up in there, but he didn't. Definitely drawing attention when close to the trail...even at off times. Just hoping we don't get the wrong person who starts complaining about having an awesome trail being built for free.
