Root Armoring Added to "The Puzzler"

Josh recently added some rock and earth protection to a feature on the trail that was dubbed "The Puzzler". The Puzzler was a hairy network of exposed roots between 2 Oaks. This is probably around 4 miles into Deception, a few lines below the Slick Rock areas before Satellite.

This work was done to protect these exposed roots, ultimately protecting the trees. Tires, pedals, feet were damaging the roots and lower trunks of the trees. This is bad for the health of the trees, which is bad for this area of the trail, considering the slope and the fact that these trees are of significant size. The trees and roots provide a base for keeping the earth on the slope and keep the area from eroding.

Please respect the work done here and do not disturb the rocks and earth. Yes, the feature is not very technical now as it's easily rollable, but there is the closeness of the trees, the camber and turn to contend with.

Looking downhill - as you would riding from the west end of the trail.

Looking uphile - as you would riding from the east end of the trail.
